The 8000m give you both a Forensic LED and a Forensic Laser light source in one portable package, so it can be used in both the lab and the field. aWorks either from AC/Mains power, or its own hey duty battery pack. Operation:
- 1. On the handle there are switching buttons for LED light source and laser light source.
- 2. LED light source switching button: white light- 520nm- 470nm in sequential cycle.
- 3. Laser light source switching button: 532nm- 445nm- neutral. Cycle by sequence
- 4. When the instrument is in laser light source mode, the starting light will always be the weakest power no matter which wavelength you select (in case the user does not wear protective glasses or wears the wrong ones).
- There is a button the handle for adjusting output power. The laser output power can be adjusted continuously, without steps of power.
- The handle can be held in hand or fixed to a tripod through the tripod interface on it, making it convenient for taking photographs.
- After switching the laser intensity, the laser light will always grow from the weak intensity to strong intensity, so as to protect the eyes of the operator.
- Protective glasses: two pairs for each 190-540nm and 190-470nm
Primary usage
- 1. Laser: Detect the fluorescence reactions of material evidence, such as fingerprints (on metal surface, plastic mats, duplicating paper and label paper), saliva, semen stains, traces of blood, urine traces, sweat stains, fiber, broken bones, 79% heroin, 42% methamphetamine, and shooting residues on textiles, etc. Searching foursome types of hidden or trace material evidence is made easier with the laser functions of this unit.
- 2. LED light source: detect or take photographs: fingerprints and traces on the objects which are highly reflective or transparent. Search for trace or material evidence which cannot be detected by laser such as fingerprints, dust traces and material evidence that cannot be detected or photographed by laser light.
